Hilton Head Shipyard Has It All

My husband loves nothing better than to spend his time on the golf course, while I enjoy nothing more than a good, competitive game of tennis. This is what made the Hilton Head Shipyard the perfect place for us to choose for our summer vacation.

When we researched the Hilton Head Shipyard, we learned that they had not one, not two, but three golf courses on this beautiful plantation. My husband was hooked from that moment. Thankfully the vacation was only a month out because this is all he talked about from that moment on to any and everyone who would listen to him!

What hooked me on the Hilton Head Shipyard were the tennis courts, the FREE tennis courts. I knew with this being home to the famous Van der Meer Tennis center, I would have no problem striking up a match in no time flat. I was right, I played more tennis that week then any other time in my life and I was simply in heaven!

Now don't get me wrong, during our Hilton Head Shipyard vacation, we did also get to spend a lot of time together. Our favorite activity to do together was to bike ride through the beautiful scenery Hilton Head Shipyard has to offer. We experienced the most breathtaking views on these bike rides. We rode past tranquil lagoons, had views of the beautiful green ways and even saw a few sleeping alligators!

We also spent quite a few afternoons at the Hilton Head Shipyard Beach Club. The beautiful white sandy beach was so amazing you really felt as though you were in a tropical paradise. This was a great way for my husband and I to sit back and relax and reflect on the days activities. These are some of my favorite memories to share from our Hilton Head shipyard vacation.

Another great perk of the Hilton Head Shipyard is that it is literally located in the center of Hilton Head Island. This meant we were only minutes away from numerous shops and over 200 restaurants. Yes, I said over 200 restaurants. And let me tell you, after a heard day of playing, there is nothing better then a delicious dinner accompanied by some of the most breathtaking views you have ever seen.

Before our Hilton Head Shipyard vacation, my husband was the one who could not stop talking about our upcoming vacation. Now that we have been to "paradise", I am the one who can not stop talking about the wonders of this place.
